Moving up at the Williamsburg
After a decade of development, Heathwood Homes continues to make buyers happy with their final release of homes When Rafael and Mary Canseco decided they wanted to move to a larger home, they didn’t have to look far. The couple had lived in the Heathwood Homes’ Williamsburg community in Whitby for three years when they decided they needed something a little bigger. In that time, their family had grown – instead of just their son, Nicholas, now five, they also had their two-year old daughter, Amanda. When they started searching the area for something new, the couple found that they were comparing everything they looked at to their current Heathwood home, and everything else was coming up short. “We kept saying ‘let’s compare it to Heathwood,’ and it didn’t compare,” says Rafael. “We wanted to stay in Whitby and realized what we really wanted was to stay in Williamsburg. So it worked out perfectly when Heathwood opened their newest phase here. We went in and purchased right away.”
Just five minutes from their current home, the Canseco’s new house is just over 3,000 sq. ft. in size and part of the final phase of Williamsburg. The four-bedroom layout means that they’ll have an extra room for guests, and the house’s built-in retreat space is an added bonus – Rafael’s already dubbed it as his own personal domain. “I might set it up as my movie theatre and family movie night,” he says. For the kids, there’s more outdoor space as well – the home is on one of Heathwood’s 42-ft. lots – which will give them plenty of room for running around with all of the friends they’ve already made in the neighborhood. The community is ideal for families – Nicholas’ school is just a five-minute walk away, and with a lot of other growing families in the area, there are always children to play with. “It’s very family oriented,” he says. Add to that Heathwood’s extraordinary service commitment to quality, and Rafael and Mary couldn’t be any happier. “We definitely know we’re going to get exceptional service and quality when we move in.” Surrounded by amenities, and featuring a range of fabulous floor plans, Williamsburg has become one of Whitby’s most popular communities ever. Detached homes on 30-ft. lots range from 1,754 to 2,545 sq. ft. and start at $287,900; on 36-ft. lots ranging from 2,235 to 2,639 sq. ft. and area priced from $339,900; on 42-ft. lots ranging from 2,481 to 3,073 sq. ft. and start from $355,900. The sales office and two models are located just off Cochrane Street north of Rossland Road on Twin Streams Road in Whitby.
